Goldcrest Chauffeurs Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

  • “Goldcrest Chauffeurs” refers to the booking provider.
  • “Client” refers to the person making the booking.
  • “Passenger” means any individual traveling in the vehicle.
  • “Service” refers to the chauffeur services provided by Goldcrest Chauffeurs.
  • “Booking” is a confirmed request for Service.
  • “Vehicle” refers to any chauffeur-driven transport provided.

2. Booking and Confirmation

  • Bookings can be made through our website, via email, or by phone. A booking is confirmed only when the client receives an email indicating the booking status as “confirmed”.
  • The client must provide accurate details, including date, time, pickup location, additional stop, destination, and passenger information.
  • Goldcrest Chauffeurs provides an advanced automated platform for generating instant ride quotations, designed to ensure consistency and accuracy. In the case of any apparent discrepancies, we reserve the right to amend prices as necessary to reflect accurate costs.
  • Goldcrest Chauffeurs reserves the right to refuse any booking request without explanation.
  • Clients must review and confirm the details in the confirmation email. Any errors should be reported immediately. Changes requested later may result in additional charges.

3. Prices and Payment

  • All rates are quoted in GBP (£) 
  • Payment is due upon booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept credit cards, bank transfers, and cash.
  • Prices may vary based on factors such as time of day, location, vehicle type, and additional services.
  • Any parking charges, tolls, or congestion charges will be added to the final invoice unless otherwise included in a fixed price agreement.
  • In the event of a failed payment, the client must settle the outstanding balance before the journey commences. Goldcrest Chauffeurs reserves the right to cancel services if payment issues are not resolved.

4. Cancellation and Amendments

  • Cancellations made 2 hours or more before the scheduled pickup time qualify for a full refund.
  • Cancellations within 2 hours of the scheduled pickup time are non-refundable.
  • Amendments to bookings, such as changes to the pickup time, location, or vehicle type, must be made at least 12 hours before the scheduled service. Changes requested within 12 hours may be subject to availability and additional fees.
  • In the event of a no-show, the full fare will be charged.

5. Waiting Time Policy

  • Airport pickups include 45 minutes of complimentary waiting time after the flight’s actual landing time, adjusted according to flight tracking information.
  • For non-airport pickups, 10 minutes of complimentary waiting time is provided.
  • Waiting time beyond the complimentary period will be charged at the rate applicable to the booked vehicle, in 15-minute increments.
  • It is the client’s responsibility to provide accurate flight information. Goldcrest Chauffeurs will not be liable for delays if incorrect information is provided.

6. Use of Service and Passenger Responsibilities

  • The service is provided for personal and corporate transportation only. Commercial use for goods or parcels is prohibited unless agreed upon in advance.
  • Passengers must wear seatbelts at all times and comply with any local safety laws.
  • Any damage caused by a passenger to the vehicle will result in the client being liable for the cost of repair or extra cleaning fees.
  • Smoking, consumption of alcohol without prior agreement, and use of illegal substances are not permitted in the vehicle.
  • The driver reserves the right to terminate the journey without refund if passenger behaviour is deemed unsafe or disruptive.

7. Liability and Limitations

  • Goldcrest Chauffeurs is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by factors outside of our control, including but not limited to traffic delays, severe weather conditions, or vehicle breakdowns.
  • The client is responsible for ensuring adequate time is allowed for their journey, taking into account potential delays.
  • While Goldcrest Chauffeurs strives to provide a safe and secure service, we are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items left in the vehicle.
  • Goldcrest Chauffeurs carries insurance as required by law. However, passengers travel at their own risk, and we advise that additional personal travel insurance is obtained.

8. Data Protection and Privacy

  • Goldcrest Chauffeurs is committed to protecting client privacy in accordance with GDPR. Personal data collected during bookings will be used solely for the purpose of providing our services.
  • We do not sell or share client information with third parties, except where required by law or with the client’s explicit consent.
  • All data is stored securely, and clients have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data.

9. Termination of Service

  • Goldcrest Chauffeurs reserves the right to terminate or refuse service to any client or passenger who fails to comply with these terms and conditions or engages in behavior deemed unsafe or disrespectful to the driver.
  • No refunds will be provided in cases where service is terminated due to a violation of these terms.

10. Force Majeure

  • Goldcrest Chauffeurs shall not be liable for any failure to fulfill its obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, strikes, or governmental actions.
  • If a force majeure event affects the service, we will contact the client as soon as possible to make alternative arrangements where feasible.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • These terms and conditions, as well as any services provided by Goldcrest Chauffeurs, are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  • Any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be resolved exclusively by the courts of England.
